of contractors; we assist you in creating your dream garden.

Victorian Shade Garden -

The meandering path and mirror on the brick wall make this space appear much larger than it is.  The water feature was built with reclaimed brick found on the site and the client's finds and art work are strategically located throughout the garden. The side yard was small but that didn't keep the homeowner from dreaming big.  She wanted a place to display her treasures she had collected over the years and a spot to enjoy when returning from work each day.

Kenwood Estate Garden -

This garden was a blank

slate when we started seven years ago. Collaborating with the client, who is an avid gardener, we have created lush mixed borders, a rose garden surrounding the fountain, and a retreat

for entertaining and relaxing.

More projects are being planned including a garden folly and an enhanced vegetable garden

North Center Family Garden -–

Four little girls needed a place to play and their parents needed a place for gathering, dining and relaxing.  This garden included an expanded paved area to set up the wading pool or put on plays, a hide-away club house under the deck, and a sophisticated deck where the grown ups could enjoy a cup of coffee or cocktail.

Masculine retreat-

The ritual of pre-Cubs game drinks needed a reliable gathering spot, so the garage roof of this Lakeview home was turned into the go-to location.  A buffet area with a granite counter and refrigerator, dining area, and TV viewing area with comfortable chairs and couches make this a favored place to be, both on game days and every day.

Gold Coast Terrace -

With magnificent views of the lake and the city, this client wanted a garden with lots of color that enhanced their sky-high garden.  Three distinct areas were created on the terraces that wrap around the pent house, including an area for dining, media experiences, reading, and sunning, a retreat outside the office area, and a dog run for the family's three huskies.  Seasonal change-outs enhance the permanent plantings of trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials and ornamental grasses.

Lakeview Parkway Garden -

Parkways are always a challenge in the city –- what to do with that expanse that serves so many purposes?  This garden took advantage of the space to create a beautiful entrance to the home, while preventing foot and dog traffic from damaging the plantings.

Streeterville Restaurant Patio -

In the middle of bustling traffic near Michigan Avenue and Northwestern Hospital this award-winning patio creates an oasis for diners.  The plantings enhance the restaurant's facade and create a living hedge that fosters a feeling of intimacy for those enjoying the patio.
